HOW TO SURVIVE A DWI DUI STOP

 

With violent crime down in most of Manhattan, the NYPD devotes tremendous resources to DWI DUI arrests and checkpoints. Here are some ways to not fall into the traps that police set up in order to make their required quota of arrests:

 

• Never admit to having any alcohol to drink, these statements will come back as evidence against you.
  
• Politely ask the police officers why they pulled you over.
  
• Under most circumstances do not take the breathalyzer test.
  
• Ask for an attorney every chance you get.
  
• If you can do it correctly, do the physical coordination test.
  
• Be polite and never raise your voice, treat the police officers as professionals even if they are not behaving that way.
